The idea of blessing is a well known but often misunderstood concept. In this course we will explore the meaning of “blessing” in the bible and Jewish tradition. We will discuss how blessing is designed to be a primary description of human relationship.

Rabbi Howard Silverman
Howard R. Silverman is the Rabbi of Beth Messiah Congregation in Columbus, Ohio, a position he has held since 1991. He is a long time leader in the Messianic Jewish community, with over 45 years of involvement in Messianic Jewish ministry. Rabbi Howard has served as the President of the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations (UMJC) and as their Mid-Atlantic Regional Director. He holds a BS from SUNY at Buffalo and an MA in Jewish Studies from Messianic Jewish Theological Institute (MJTI). He has also attended The Ohio State University as a graduate student in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures.
