February: Exploring Jewish Ethics for Today

Jewish Ethics for Today explores the ancient foundations of Jewish business law to uncover its enduring ethical core. Participants will examine critical topics such as fair wages, price gouging, excessive interest, contracts, and fraudulent transactions. Together, we will apply these ancient legal frameworks to build a practical, modern code of business ethics. This journey reflects the profound wisdom of the Mishnah, which teaches that the very first question we face in the afterlife is: “Were you honest in your business dealings?”

Rabbi Elliot Klayman
Elliot Klayman began teaching at MJTI in 2013 when he did Bible study teaching at MJTI’s center in Los Angeles. He has since taught Medieval Judaism in the Jewish Studies Graduate Program; and Great Jewish Modern Thinkers in the Panim el Panim program (PEP).
