December: The Hanukkah / Christmas Connection
Mondays, December 5, 12, 19, and Thursday, December 22 at 1 PM Eastern
A 4-hour study including relevant passages in Daniel, I Maccabees, and the Gospels. These two winter holidays are usually disassociated from each other by most people, both Jews, and Christians. However, a closer study reveals some intriguing connections between Hanukkah and Christmas. In this course, Rabbi Barney Kasdan will lead us as we dig into some of the original sources including the Tanakh, Intertestamental literature, and the New Testament as we seek to understand some surprising spiritual lessons of the winter season.
Chapter 8 Hanukkah: The Feast of Dedication from God’s Appointed Times will be in folder.
