December: Jesus and the Jewishness of God

December 2-23, 2020—Wednesdays @ 1 p.m. ET

The Jewishness of Jesus is a commonplace in New Testament studies but is rarely considered in systematic theology. For most of the twentieth century, this and other aspects of the historical Jesus were viewed as distinct from dogmatic Christology. Post-supersessionist Trinitarian theology builds on the rediscovery of the Jewishness of Yeshua and the ongoing election of Israel to articulate a deeper connection between the Jewish Yeshua of the 1st century and the Jewishness of God. This class address Post-supersessionist Trinitarian theology and the significance of its implications for the life of a disciple and for Israel and the ekklesia.
