Nov: Accompanying the Dying and Bereaved
Mondays, Nov. 6, 13, 20, and 27 at 1:00 PM Eastern
The past few years have reminded us that we all must face sickness, loss, and grieving, whether personally or through friends and loved ones. And everyone seeking to serve his or her community, whether as a volunteer or a professional, will be called on to accompany others through these difficult times. Judaism has developed a rich culture of support for the sick, dying, and bereaved, which is a priceless resource for the Messianic Jewish community. This course reviews these resources and how to mobilize them in the practice of spiritual accompaniment.
Bear one another’s burdens — in this way you will be fulfilling the Torah’s true meaning, which the Messiah upholds (Gal 6:2 CJB).
